FAQ

What areas of the country do you cover and how far are you willing to travel?

We are based in Birmingham, West Midlands but we have covered weddings across the whole of the UK and are more than willing to travel where ever you need us.

How long will you stay for on the wedding day?

I believe in capturing the whole story of your day, so I will be with you from the morning preparations, usually 2-3 hours before the start of the ceremony, right through to the evening for about 45 minutes after the first dance to capture the evening fun.

How many wedding photographs will we receive on the USB?

We will be taking photographs all the time we are with you and as we are using the latest digital DSLR cameras this can mean hundreds of pictures – when we get back to our studio we take out any duplicates or ones with people blinking etc  and aim to present you with a large number of high quality images(300-450 approx) as memories of your special day.

Are you insured?

We certainly are – we believe that it is ver important and we are fully covered for equipment, liability and professional indemnity.

Do we need to meet before our wedding day?

We would really love to meet you so that we can chat about your expectations and answer any questions you might have. We can look at images that you have seen from the venue and/or we can look at any specific images that you want on the day. On the other hand though we do not have to meet and everything can be done online or by telephone, we have done a lot of weddings and are more than confident to react with how the day unfolds as longs as we have some basic information.

How long does it take to receive our photos after our wedding day?

It depends on how many weddings I have photographed just before yours, but it usually takes between 4 and 6 weeks.

Can we print the photos from the USB?

Absolutely! You receive all fully edited images on disc with permission to use them for personal use. You can take the disc to your favourite processors, such as Boots, send off for prints online, such as Photobox, or even upload them to Facebook.

Do you charge travel expenses?

Travel expenses for weddings within the West Midlands area  will be covered within the package fee. I’m more than happy to cover weddings across the whole of the UK and even abroad, please get in touch for pricing.

What camera do you use?

I use professional digital SLR cameras and lenses by CANON, currently the 5DMk3 model. These are highly capable for weddings as they are well renowned for their low light capabilities and quick focusing systems, ideal for catching those important moments, even in the darkest of venues! I always carry 2 cameras with me to each wedding and a range of lenses, plus another back up in the car. This means that not only do I have a spare camera in case one breaks during the day, but also that I don’t have to stop taking photos if I need to change from a wide to a zoom lens for example, and can carry on taking photos and not miss any important moments throughout the day.

Can we see the album design before it goes to print?

Yes, I will put a design together using your favourite  images and then send an electronic copy of the page layouts. I want your album to be as perfect as possible and to your exact specifications before going to print.

How do we book you?

Once we have had chance to meet up, and you have made the decision to go ahead with the booking, I will post a wedding contract and booking form to sign and return, along with an invoice for a booking fee of £100. The remaining amount of the package price is due 1 month before the day of the wedding.
